Stabilising the Atlassian infrastructure, the organisation experienced increased system stability
Input
Successfully hand over and stabilise Atlassian products, including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket, for 18,000 user instances, aligning processes and unifying the access model.
Challenge
- Stabilisation of Instances: previous lack of proper maintenance led to instability in Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket instances.
- Unification of Access Model: The need to standardise and unify the access control model across all instances.
Solution
- Handover Activities: Conducted comprehensive handover activities, revealing several yellow/red flags that needed addressing.
- Performed cleaning and standardisation of instances.
- Implemented appropriate security measures in line with best practices.
- Addressing Vulnerabilities: Identified and addressed vulnerabilities in the infrastructure, platform, and application layers.
